We sailed our longest sail to date with our temporary crew member, Jeffrey. we went out at St Augustine about 9:00 am and arrived in Beaufort the following afternoon around 2:00. So about 32 hours on the boat. At night we each took a shift. The wind was favorable and the moon was nearly full so it was a nice sail.
We arrived Easter morning in Beaufort and CJ made us eggs Benedict.

That afternoon CJ and I motored the dinghy to the nearby sandbar. We saw about a half dozen kids enjoying the splishy mud on the other side of the sand bar. The “mud people” as one dad said were having a great time sliding and rolling in the mud.

The next morning we rented a car, grabbed some breakfast and then went to Cypress Swamp Gardens in Point Royal (near Beaufort). It was a beautiful day and we saw lots of swamp life.

Later we drove to Savannah airport and said good bye to CJ. It was nice having a personal chef for a few days.
